Very nice lines and composition. A person could learn a lot from just this photo!

Response 1:Thank you, Annette. It's a famous shot among photographers who travel to the Smokies, and sunrise is the best time to be there.

If you like this one, check out the road photo I took in Northern Ireland on a photo tour I led last May. It's pretty amazing.

New Photo Discussion 3: Shadows and Angles

Shadows and Angles
Shadows and Angles
Used a Canon 17-40mm f/4 @ f/9.5 in Av mode. The shadows in this photo can only be captured at late noon as the sun is at the overhead. There are only about 5-7 minutes when this is possible(and no people). The shadows lead the eye to the great doors which say "ASK, SEEK, KNOCK"! The location is St. Bonaventure monastery, Detroit Michigan.

Beautiful capture of this monastery with such dramatic shadows, Wayne. Planning is key as you've demonstrated here!

Memoriee, You have an outstanding collection of images on your website! I'm particularly partial to this one because I often try to take similar shots(especially when I'm at an antique car show). I know how difficult it is first to see an image like this one, and then capture it with right combination of perfect composition, exposure and depth of field. My compliments!!

Response 1:Martin, Thank you so much for your comments. I think car shows are the perfect place for interesting angles and people. I hope to see more of your work in the future.
Take care
