How to Soften Flash

If you want to diffuse your built-in flash (pop up flash), try holding a piece of tissue over the flash. But be careful not to burn yourself; the flash gets hot. It is great over the flash of an iPhone. It can soften the flash to eliminate that shiny skin reflection on someone's face and create some nice light. Sometimes, it might take two small pieces of tissue - you need to experiment. Note: The Silvermans teach three excellent online photography classes here at BetterPhoto.
