TESTIMONIAL OF THE WEEK 'This is a must course for all Lightroom users! Rob Sheppard does a great job of taking your photographs from dull and simplistic to ones with balance and pop.' -Mark Calibo, student in A Darkroom Called Lightroom
ONLINE INTERACTIVE COURSES BEGIN MAY 8TH! LEARN PHOTOGRAPHY OR PHOTOSHOP AT YOUR OWN PACE!
THIS WEEK'S TIP Keep the Horizon Level By Susan and Neil Silverman, BetterPhoto instructors Be certain that your horizon is straight; although it is reasonably easy to 'fix' an unwanted tilt in a photo, it is a shame to have to do that. Because once that photo editing program does straighten your horizon, some cropping is necessary and then you are really throwing away some pixels because of the cropping. You did not buy that camera with the number of pixels you wanted to just throw them away. Note: The Silvermans teach three excellent online photo courses at BetterPhoto. Check out their courses here…

Articles and Updates from BetterPhoto Even an expensive computer monitor may not provide truly accurate rendition of colors, brightness and contrast right out of the box. This is where calibration comes into play, and instructor Peter K. Burian shares his expertise... The closer you get to the foreground with a wide-angle lens, the more distorted it will appear. This isn't bad ... in fact, it can be wildly artistic! Read instructor Jim Zuckerman's article... In our outstanding blog, you'll receive photo tips, thoughts and updates from BetterPhoto's pro team of instructors.
