"I thoroughly enjoyed this class with Jim Zuckerman! He is an excellent instructor who believes in giving very honest, constructive criticism which helped me immensely. Welcome to the 596th issue of SnapShot!
Hello,

Great news for subscribers of BetterPhoto's free Photo of the Day newsletter!

- You asked for it... We have received many requests for more information on the images.

- You got it... The BetterPhoto uploading system is now able to pull exif data (f/stop, shutter speed and ISO) that is now being posted with each POTD. Also, whenever possible, we choose pictures in which the photographer has included other details - for instance, info on what and where, and/or any relevant techniques used.

POTD images, by the way, are contest entries that catch the judges' attention. All POTD candidates, though, still remain in the running for the monthly contest. Here's the archive of past POTD photos. To subscribe (it's quick, easy and free!), go to the newsletter subscription page.

In this issue of SnapShot, don't miss excellent articles by two BetterPhoto instructors: "Chimping Nonsense" by Rob Sheppard and "Long Exposure Creativity" by Deborah Sandidge.

That's it for now. Have fun with your photography!

Updates From BetterPhoto

Some photographers have been advised to quit looking at the LCD, to quit "chimping", and just photograph. However, a camera's LCD is a valuable piece of technology that can really help us all take better pictures. Read more of BetterPhoto instructor Rob Sheppard's thoughts... A long exposure is a great way to create more artistic images with a location that is often photographed. See BetterPhoto instructor Deborah Sandidge's blog... A cool benefit of being a Masterpiece or Basic member, a student, or a Deluxe/Pro owner is access to the BetterPhoto Forum. Simply click the "Discussions/Q&A" tab in your Member Center.
