Masai Mara.
After walking and running for a long distance, the cheetahs finally came up to this point from where they had a good view of the surrounding. I retained a good portion of the background in this image to show the environment at the expense of smaller size Cheetah's.

Winner!!!!! You've really outdone yourself and thousands of others with this capture, Kitty. This shot has a golden future, I predict!

Response 1:Oh thank you, Michelle. This beautiful seagull was standing on the railing of the walkway that spans the water of the John Heinz compound. He was with a whole lot of other seagulls. He just kept preening and I was able to get closer and closer. And he was in just the right light. Too much fun!!

It's very beautiful, Bob. I find the artistic "veiling" of moving water to be very mysterious.

Response 2:Thanks Michelle, Jack and Michael for your comments.

This was my only opportunity to shoot any fall scenics this year ... been too busy. This 20-second exposure was taken at pre-dawn. Fortunately, no air was stirring so the only thing moving was the water.

Response 3:Think I see a mass of wonderful hair...and that automatically makes me think of Tony Sweet - but think he works mostly on the West Coast...so have no idea but agree with the above - Beautiful shot!
- Val Feldman

Response 4:Wonderful hair identified him, and the prize goes to Val!!!! Actually, Tony Sweet is from Maryland and is more of an East Coast Photographer. This was taken in March last year.
Tony gave a workshop in Cape May, NJ, for a group from my camera club (Camera Naturalist Photo Club, exclusively nature photography). We learned a lot, were at the right places at the right time, and it was great fun! In sum, Tony is an awesome photographer and instructor!

This is decorative, variegated colored corn or sometimes referred to as Indian Corn.
Its bright colors remind me of candy although I would prefer to eat mine without the fine dust.

I like the design elements here, Kerry.
Nice comp, light, color, and shadows.
The circular fastener in the corner balances the composition nicely.
Well seen and captured.

Response 1:Hi Lisa,
Thanks for the note! I always love shooting graphic-design patterns of lines (especially diagonals) and this scene caught my eye. A really good point about the circular fastener, since I made a point to incorporate it in the composition. Of course, it helps catching the scene in beautiful late-day light. :) Thanks again, Lisa.
