 | | | Hi !
I'm Jim Miotke and I love photography!
I wanted to take some time to discuss where BetterPhoto has been, where we are going, and the value that we are going to add to you, our customer. BetterPhoto has been serving photo enthusiasts like you since 1996 and we've always been dedicated to providing a fun customer experience for taking your photography to the next level.
I feel like we've deviated from that core focus a bit. Long story short, within the last year we have been through tough times like a lot of you have. As a result, we've almost needed to close the doors and shut the site down. We've kept our best face, weathered the storm, and survived. In our efforts to keep it alive, however, we've become a little too salesy in our emails and posts. I apologize for that. We want you to know, we've listened to your concerns and we're adapting.
We're going to work to change our focus to give more generously to you. Throughout the next few months we are planning some major initiatives that will add value back to the community. Here are some of the things to look forward to as we move into 2012:
- More streamlined web site with a simpler menu of options.
- More new courses in 2012
- More video explanations.
Also, stay tuned next week on how you can be a part of a local initiative to bring BetterPhoto enthusiasts together in person. This will be one of the biggest changes in years in how the BetterPhoto community interacts. You won't want to miss out on this one! We're going to need your help to make it happen, so be on the lookout for an email that discusses how you can be a leader in this program.
I want to hear from you! Please let me know what you think about our initiatives and if there is anything else you'd like to see.
In particular, I want to know what would make BetterPhoto even more fun for you.
We're committed to making BetterPhoto your #1 resource for the highest quality photography instruction and community. Visit my blog or our Facebook page page and share your thoughts with us.
Look forward to hearing from you!
