7 Steps to Painless Pics - Step 1

BetterPhoto.com

Welcome to "7 Steps to Painless Pics"

It is my goal to help you put this misery behind you. By the end of this 7 step sequence, you will experience the joy of creating WOW! photos.

Are you are tired of feeling the pain of disappointment from taking bad pictures? Discouraged with inconsistent quality? Not feeling on top of your camera?

Follow my daily mini lessons and you will quickly and easily master control.

STEP ONE | Identify your subject (and move in close to it)

Many uninspiring photos turned out that way because the subject wasn't properly identified. As today's mini-lesson will show, you want to get clear on what's most important in your composition. Enjoy today's lesson and keep shooting!

Identify your subject. What is the one thing that attracts your attention to the scene? That's your main subject. This decision often involves making sacrifices. As much as you want to include everything, selecting one primary focal point makes it a stronger photo. Let go of anything that either doesn't support your subject, or detracts from it. Simplify things by moving physically closer or by zooming in tighter.
