THIS WEEK'S TIP Creative Composition: Beware of Stray Colors Everyone loves color, but sometimes a bright color is simply in the wrong place. In fact, this topic comes up a lot. Students and other budding photographers concentrate so much on their main subject that a stray splash of contrasting color slips by unnoticed. But that clashing color can draw the viewer's eye away from your subject to the edge of the picture or to the background.
- Note #1: When composing your image, if a bright red or yellow object grabs attention - and it's NOT your primary subject - then the best advice is to recompose and leave it out of the picture.
