The light was really good and we got several other incredible shots using reflected light from the water. Thanks!

Pax #2
A lone Pelecanus conspicillatus (Australian Pelican) patrols the shallow water of a peaceful backwater on a stormy winter afternoon. This brooding B&W nature photo was made from the southern shore of Lake Cathie, NSW, Australia.

The making of 'Pax #2':
No candid capers at the Crèma and no surf action on this wild 'n' wet day so I headed down the coast to my favourite backwater hoping for some good waterscapes.
Mother Nature smiled on me and I was not disappointed to find an Egret nearby at the water's edge and then this Pelican alone in a marvelous stormy weather waterscape.

Response 1:Hello Dennis: I really like to be out on those kinds of days. There is something supercharged about the air and the sight. It also sets a mood that you have captured.
I especially like the crisp water and a cloudy skyline, the two textures go very well together. Congratulations on another great piece of art.
